Ok, this is totally different from any cosplay I have done before and I even surprised myself a little with this choice. And yet when I thought about it it made perfect sense.
I needed something fast and easy and new for Sakura-con as I didn't have time to make what I originally was hoping to make.
Fruits Basket was the first manga I ever read and it's pretty much what got me hooked. It's such a silly and cute story, full of silly and cute (and hot) characters that you just can't help but love. And as soon as Ayame walked onto the page in all his glory he was my favourite. I mean, we even have lots in common! He likes wearing long, flowy, tailored clothes which he sews himself (so do I!), he burns easily in the sun (yup, that's me), and he does not like extreme hot or cold weather (again the same as I). However, I am not a snake (I'm a dog) and I'm not a total narcissist, nor do I spent my free time harassing my sibling (well, not like he does anyway) Haha
Anyway, Aya is really a blast to cosplay, and so super comfy! Especially after wearing Chrono.
The costume design is from a chapter in volume 8 and the first time I read it I wanted to make the outfit. Ayame sure knows how to dress I'm totally going to wear this on a regular basis.
I already had the wig, I just added some wefts to make it longer. And I got to wear my boots from Versailles! they don't look like the ones he wears in the manga, but I'm sure Ayame would be one own boots from France.

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
