I made another jacket today, useing the same pattern i used for this [link] .
The outside is %100 wool, and its fully lined with with a light asian style jacquard. I'm not sure if the lining is silk or rayon, I have yet to do a burn test.
Both the fabrics I've had for ages, and I didn't have much of the wool, hence the short sleeves.
I'm hopeing to finish it tomorrow, but I'm not sure what kind of closures I should use or what kind of details to add. What do you think? I was thinking more snaps, (though i only have silver ones) or maybe some leather with buckles, or maybe frogs?
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please let me know!
thanks!
Awesome! This one's looking great so far. Love the color, and the lining is great. Frogs for closures, methinks. I don't know what your rope work skills are like, but if you know how to do decorative knotting and the like something around the collar and along the shoulders could be very cool.
Can't wait to see the finished procduct, great work.

I would say frogs, I think they would complete the look very well. Though, if you don't want the look to be too oriental, I wouldn't suggest the frogs.
Which pattern did you use, out of curiosity? Is it a retail one or one you made yourself? I'd love to try my hand at one of these one day.
Can't wait to see the finished procduct, great work.
