My Coastal Guardian.
It's kind of hard to tell what's going on here, as there are so many layers. Photo's just don't do it justice.
All the layers are hand dyed silk, and then are over-dyed using the pole wrapping Shibori technique.
There are shells and other bits for details. I'll upload a some detail shots soon.

It's a Japanese resist dyeing technique, much like tie-dyeing, just without the 80's T-shirt look
My Shibori is pretty amature compared to what can be done with it. And I can't really explain in very well, but if you google image it you will find some awesome stuff!
Yay!!! you have no idea how happy that make me!!!!! That's exactly the look I was going for. I wanted it to look like it was just part of her, and not just somthing she is wearing.
I'm so glad! I normally suck with colours and finding out what colours look good together. But for this one I looked at the colours found in sea-weed and kelp and all the flostam and jestam that gets washed up by the tide.
I'm glad it worked ^_^
Well all of them are lovely, but this one is very nice. I love the colors, it reminds me of corals and algues.
Well I did my graduation dress last friday, I had to start that day and os finish the same day XD I'll add it here when I take some pictures. Hope to get better when I start fashion school.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
