I just received a terrible call this morning from my mom. My dear little cat Terra was attacked by a bobcat last night and is now in stable condition at the animal emergency.
She really must have put up a good fight, and the bobcat must have been very young for her to survive at all.

She is a wonderful little cat, and only five years old. She lives with my mom right now because my current rental does not allow cats. She has even won the heart of my step father who claims to hate cats.
My mom brought her to the vet last night thinking she would have to be put down, but she put up such a fight to live. She still has the use of her legs and bladder thankfully, but she can't eat yet because the wounds are mainly around her neck and head. From what I know right now she may need some minor sergury as well as drains in all the wounds. She will also need 24 hour care for the next few days.

As I'm sure you all know, vet care is not cheap, so I really need your help. My mom has agreed to pay for part of the bill, but that still leaves a good chunk of around 1,000 CAD so any little bit will help.

I'm still in the planning stages of this fundraiser but I was thinking some sort of raffle with prizes that are worth your while, much like =lone-momo did for her cat Tigger.

I can offer prints or maybe small sketch commissions.
If anyone would like to donate anything to the cause, or could spread it around in their own journals, or has any other ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.
